This advocacy campaign aims to improve awareness, encourage public participation, and influence behavior and attitude of stakeholders towards proper, effective, and efficient solid waste management.

In this region, we have identified Barangay Sugod in the Municipality of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur as the pilot site for the Solid Waste Management Advocacy Campaign with the full support of the Mayor, Barangay Captain, MENRO and other key officials in the municipality.

This SWM Advocacy Campaign is anchored on our successes in the Boracay Rehabilitation and the Battle for Manila Bay. We have proved time and time again that with the will and collaboration of everybody, solid waste management is a worthy challenge to take on. The benefits we reap far surpass the difficulties and we invite everyone to join us in this endeavor – excerpts from the speech of ASEC Arleigh J. Adorable.
